Now in its fifth season on Cable Sports South (CSS), Southern Golf Weekly aired a segment on April 11, 2006 featuring host of golf instruction Cody Barden discussing the importance of the hips in the golf swing. The segment highlighted Anterior Hip Replacement, which can help people suffering from hip pain. Southern Golf Weekly began its 2006 season during Masters’ week and runs 22 consecutive weeks through August.
Cody Barden, director of golf instruction at White Columns Golf Club and the Polo Club in Atlanta, became host of golf instruction on Southern Golf Weekly in 2004. Barden has made annual appearances on the Golf Channel’s Golf Academy Live the past three years. He is also a contributing instruction writer for Golf Georgia, Atlanta Golf and Fore Georgia PGA monthly publications. CSS is a cable-only sports network of Comcast and Charter cable systems and reaches nearly 5 million homes in 11 southeastern states. Southern Golf Weekly airs three times weekly: Tuesday's at 4:30 p.m. eastern, 10:00 p.m. eastern, and then again on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. eastern.
