July 20, 2009

July 17, 2009, Vienna Austria - Roger P. Jackson, MD, conducted a detailed hands-on demonstration of the new Axis Jackson® Table System and its use for prone, supine and lateral spine procedures at the IMAST meeting being held here currently.

The demonstration and open discussion of the Axis Jackson System®, centered on the advantages of the table's exclusive breaking hinge technology. Dr. Jackson demonstrated how the table's axis of rotation and the arc of biomechanical motion provide multiple benefits to surgeons performing all types of posterior thoracolumbar procedures. The demonstration followed a series of presentations on Lumbar Posterior Fusion Options/Instrumentation (Degenerative).

The IMAST Meeting, organized by the Scoliosis Research Society, gathers leading spine surgeons, innovative research and the most advanced spine technologies for all areas of spine (cervical, thoracic and lumbar), most spinal conditions (degenerative, trauma, deformity, tumor), and a variety of treatment techniques.
